Weekly Update (4/18/21)

Hello Lovely Bookworms!

This week has been an average week.

I didn’t get much reading done but I still managed to finish four. I guess my priority hasn’t really been to sit down but I also haven’t been listening to audiobooks as often as I was, haha. Maybe it’s a reading slump, who knows. Most of the books I have been reading have been high ratings so I can’t be too upset! That doesn’t happen often for me.

Today will be a day of yard work and finishing up some cleaning in my house. I have laundry to put away but it’s just one of those things I dislike doing, haha. Anyone else hate laundry?

I hope you all have had a great week and an amazing weekend!❤

Weekly Update (4/11/21)

Hello Lovely Bookworms!

This week has been a week.

Every day felt like a Monday and the weekend has been the only thing that has gone right. Well, minus the rain when we were supposed to do yard work, haha.

I haven’t been listening to my audiobook much but I did get some reading done. I have enjoyed a couple YA Contemporary / Romance arcs! They did make me teary-eyed though, ha! But for good reasons.

Other than that, playing some videogames here and there as well as cleaning my house. It’s been pretty average when things are going right.

Weekly Update (4/4/21)

Hello Lovely Bookworms!

It’s me again!

This week has been fine, heh. I talked about the bad news with my husband’s schooling in my monthly wrap-up. Other than that, It’s been a slow and anxious week. It’s probably why I have been putting off calling the dermatologist because it will make me more anxious, haha.

This weekend I have spent time with my husband’s family for Easter. Many of them I haven’t seen for a couple years now due to the pandemic. My daughter has been really excited because apparently she is a social butterfly but my husband and I are not. 🤣 I guess at least she makes me get out of my comfort zone.

World of Warcraft has been played a few times and my youngest brother has joined in. It’s been nice to talk to him more even if it is over a mic. Usually he is so busy with work.

I hope you all had a great week and a better weekend! ❤

Weekly Update (3/28/21)

Hello Lovely Bookworms!

It’s me again!

Has this month flown by or is it just me? I feel like the older I get the faster time goes. I wish it would slow down for once!

This week I said goodbye to my sister and dad who brought down our new vehicle. It was really nice to see them for a few days. I hate goodbyes. They suck. My husband is happy with his new car though which is all that matters, ha.

I finally played some videogames this week which included World of Warcraft and some Minecraft with my daughter.

My reading has been all over the place this week. It’s been slow going the last couple of days but that is most likely due to it being a long book! I am liking it so far.

Other than that, it’s been an average week of errands and yardwork. It’s that time again to haul out the mower!

I hope you all have had a lovely week and an even better weekend! ❤

Weekly Update (3/21/21)

Hello Lovely Bookworms!

It’s me again!

I haven’t done one of these a while since last week I was visiting the in-laws. This weekend I have my dad and younger sister here who drove 11 hours to bring us our new car! (we bought it in their state since ours didn’t have what we were looking for.) I’m honestly just happy to see some family since I haven’t seen any of mine for 2 years or longer. The pandemic didn’t help last year with that..

I will be catching up with blog hopping this week! Sorry for the delay.

I haven’t been playing any videogames lately. I did do some reading over the week but haven’t touched a book this weekend. I definitely will be a reading machine this coming week as every time I finish an arc on Netgalley I manage to get another 3, haha. I really need to stop requesting but at least I haven’t slowed down on hitting that request button.

I hope you all have been enjoying your weekend! ❤

Weekly Update (3/7/21)

Hello Lovely Bookworms!

It’s me again!

This week has been busy! The only day I didn’t run errands was on Monday. Since then, it’s been non-stop finalizing the car purchase, cleaning, the house, getting groceries, and also running to Menards to fix our dryer. I haven’t read much because of it all but I am hoping to just sit down and read today.

One exciting thing is that my husband and I celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary on Wednesday. We went to Texas Roadhouse (my daughter loves it, ha) and also did a bit of fun shopping for once. It was a good day but it’s hard to believe it’s been that long already. Time sure flies.

I hope you all had a lovely week and that this coming one is just as good or even better! 💕

Weekly Update (2/28/21)

Hello Lovely Bookworms!

It’s me again!

This week we are in the process of buying a car! This is the most money we have ever spent, haha. It terrifies me but also excites me at the same time since it’s a 2019 and is replacing a 1999. My parents are helping us with the buying process as they found a good deal on the model we were looking for and it’s in their state. My dad and sister will drive it down to us in a few weeks. I’m looking forward to that since I haven’t seen them since 2019. My daughter will be excited to see her favorite aunt.

Other than that, I’ve been gaming and playing World of Warcraft. I haven’t been reading much (for me) and that’s okay. I think I’m just in a slight slump and some books just aren’t clicking with me. I’ve already dnfed three this month. It happens!

I hope you all have been having a great weekend!

Weekly Update (2/21/21)

Hello Lovely Bookworms!

It’s me again!

This week has been a whirldwind!

I am still dealing with adulting stuff and sometimes it can just stress me out. I also haven’t read much and that is because A Court of Silver Flames was a long book and honestly, I just wasn’t feeling it. 🤷‍♀️ I think I am over the SJM craze. I am now reading a classics and well, those are just hard to get through in general, haha.

I have been playing a lot of World of Warcraft. It’s probably because of slower books and my interest for them have been non-existent.

I hope you all have been doing great this weekend!

Weekly Update (2/14/21)

Hello Lovely Bookworms!

It’s me again!

This week has been a bit better. It has been busy with adulting and running errands everywhere. Sadly today, my husband also has to work due to the incoming weather tomorrow. It sucks but at least we just celebrated earlier yesterday. Other than that, I have been taking reading rather slow and that could be just from a reading slump.

I hope you all have been doing great this weekend! ❤

Weekly Update (2/7/21)

Hello Lovely Bookworms!

It’s me again!

I know I haven’t written one of these in a couple or a few weeks? Honestly, time is getting the best of me. One day I thought it was a Friday as well as being two hours ahead of myself when it was in fact the weekend…haha. I’m seriously a mess when it comes to time.

I haven’t been blog-hopping every day but still try to go back and get caught up to see all of your posts. Adulting has definitely been taking my attention, especially when it has to deal with car issues. I knew it was bound to happen as it is a 99 Civic and we have owned it for over 6 years with almost 200,000 miles on it. It’s just not what I wanted to happen this early. On top of that I am already stressing about the end of the year. My husband (fingers crossed!) will be done with college. It will be a new transition and that comes with many things to be anxious about. I know it’s only February but your girl plans her stressing ahead of time, haha.

It’ll definitely be an interesting year full of wonderous adulting things that I’m just not looking forward too. It’s probably why I have been so focused on reading.

My daughter will also be school age this year and I have no idea what will come of that besides knowing we want to homeschool. That will again bring new challenges. She also lost her first baby tooth a couple weeks ago and she is only four…Why do they grow up so fast!?

Sorry this one is a longer update but just wanted to get my thoughts out there. It’s nice to be able to write them down. I’ve always found it therapeutic.

I hope you all have been doing well! ❤
