Weekly Update (8/1/21)

Hello Lovely Bookworms!

I feel like weeks just go by faster and faster.

I didn’t post one of these last week because I just didn’t feel like it and that’s okay!

Nothing has really been going on besides the usual. I have been trying to get into a better routine for when my daughter starts school and we begin the process of homeschooling. I’m quite nervous but I also feel like everything will be alright, lol. Next Monday is the first day and I am just not ready to have a kindergartner.

My reading for July was quite sporadic. I did a lot of reading in the beginning and ending. The middle was okay I guess. Hopefully August will be the month I finish up my arcs (I have 6 left!) but I’m sure I’ll be busy with schooling.

So yeah, that’s it!

I hope you all have been doing well. ❤

Weekly Update (7/18/21)

Hello Lovely Bookworms!

I feel like weeks just go by faster and faster.

This week has not been filled with reading. I think I managed to finish two but have made progress in my audiobook and other book. It’s slow going but sometimes I need that. I only have 5 arcs left which makes me quite happy!

I’ve been playing videogames like usual and it’s been nice. My daughter has showed us how to play some games on Roblox which is something she likes to do and least we can do it together. My brother also joins in!

I’m going to try and get through a couple more arcs this coming week, if not 3 or 4. I can do it!

I hope you all have been having a great weekend. 💖

Weekly Update (7/10/21)

Hello Lovely Bookworms!

This week has honestly been a blur for me! My days have all combined together and I can’t seem to get my brain to think straight, haha.

Yesterday and today we have spent some time with my husband’s mother and stepfather. It’s been a rainy weekend but it’s definitely better than all the heat. We try to get trips in before school starts, especially now with my daughter starting school too. I’m not ready for the chaotic time.

I have been able to get a lot of reading done this week and I am again down to 6 arcs! One I received from an indie author this week, one in the mail, and four on netgalley with one being an exclusive access from my email. I am really excited for them all! I definitely can get done with them all by the end of this month and hopefully a billion requests don’t come in at once, haha.

I hope you all have been enjoying your week! ❤❤

Weekly Update (7/4/21)

Hello Lovely Bookworms!

This week was another week filled with so many things that kept me busy! My daughter turned 5. My husband’s birthday is tomorrow. I am just trying to keep up with my blog and neglecting my bookstagram, haha. I definitely need to find a better schedule especially when my daughter starts her homeschooling. I’m not ready for it all!

Good thing is my husband finishes his summer classes in a few day and will be visiting his mom and stepdad this coming weekend. It will be nice to get away once again. She lives in a very, very small town so it’s quiet and I love it! It also gives me a break from all screen time which is nice.

My reading has been so-so this week. I’ve finished books but not as many as I would have liked. I do hope to get a couple more arcs done this coming week. I have also started The Two Towers audiobook. The plot is a bit slower than the first but it is still really good!

I hope you all have been having a great weekend. Happy 4th of July for those in the US! ❤

Weekly Update (6/27/21)

Hello Lovely Bookworms!

This week was filled with a lot of tantrums from my child. I honestly haven’t read as much this week as I have for the last few. It’s just one of those weeks where I have other things I’d rather do and that’s okay! I have managed to at least get through almost 50% of my latest audiobook which is The Fellowship of the Ring. The audiobook is so good!

Other than that, nothing has really happened. This coming week should be fun though since my daughter turns 5 on Wednesday. I’m not ready for her to grow up and I’m sure I will cry, haha.

I hope you all have been doing well this week. ❤

Weekly Update (6/20/21)

Hello Lovely Bookworms!

This week was so-so.

It’s been actually pretty painful on my body though, ha. A few days ago my dog decided to chase after a rabbit while being on his lead outside. I was on the wrong side of it and saw it all play out in my head before the fall. I did fall on my butt and caught myself for the most part but somehow I bruised my side, elbow, and have rope burn on both ankles that still hurt while they are healing. I’m glad it wasn’t worse since it was on concrete.

I didn’t do much reading and kind of have just been playing World of Warcraft. Sometimes I’m just feeling the other more at times so I just roll with it. I did get approved for two anticipated reads and I am currently reading one! It’s good so far.

Today I’m spending time with family and celebrating Father’s Day. I wish I could be with my dad but I’ll give him a call later and I did send a card in the mail though.

I hope you all had a great week and weekend! ❤

Weekly Update (6/13/21)

Hello Lovely Bookworms!

This week was another good week for reading and it wasn’t bad with the adult stuff either!

I would say that this week has been pretty laid back. There hasn’t been much going on besides the usual. My mom had her birthday on Thursday so my daughter and I called to sing. I wish we could have spent it with her but I’m glad phones exist.

My husband is halfway through his summer classes and doing really well. I’m glad we still have time to spend together too. We take a family walk mostly everyday but it’s been brutal with the heat lately, haha.

I’ve enjoyed most books I have read but there have been some that I’ve just felt meh/fine about. The life of a reader!

I hope you have had a great weekend so far! ❤

Weekly Update (6/6/21)

Hello Lovely Bookworms!

This week wasn’t bad. Although there was one day that was just piling one thing on top of the other and it definitely messed with my mental health but I got through it and that is all that matters!

We got a nintendo switch for my daughter’s birthday which is at the end of the month. We have been playing Mario Kart and my husband is jealous of my skills, haha. My daughter is having fun and plays Minecraft with my sister on it. I’ve also been playing World of Warcraft as usual.

My reading has been fantastic! I’ve been getting through books and actually enjoyed a few. I would say that is a win-win.

I hope you all have been doing well this week too! ❤

Weekly Update (5/30/21)

Hello Lovely Bookworms!

This week I managed to survive, haha.

Some days have been worse than others and Friday definitely felt like a Monday. I got my daughter all ready for school for this coming year. It makes me sad that she is that old. I’ll definitely be crying on her birthday in 31 days. heh. I’m happy to see her doing so well and growing but it’s such a double-edge sword.

My husband starts summer college classes on Tuesday which means I will have more time to read because I can’t bug him, haha. I’m glad we only have one more year of this weird schedule of school and him working third shift. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!

As for reading, it has been a bit slower as I was gone last weekend and it’s always hard for me to get back into after a break. I also haven’t had a lot of luck with the books I’ve picked up recently. It’s just been hard to connect. Hopefully June will be much better when it comes to connecting.

Hopefully you all have been doing well and that your weekend has been lovely so far. ❤

Weekly Update (5/23/21)

Hello Lovely Bookworms!

This week has been full of good things minus Monday. Monday was just a bad, bad day.

I’m still doing the same things as usual World of Warcraft and reading. I also took a week off from teaching when it comes to my daughter and told her it was summer vacation, haha. She is doing really well and should be ready for Kindergarten. Lately she has been learning her sounds and knows all of them plus is able to tell you the name of the letter when you hold up flashcards. She does know how to write quite a bit of them too.

Other than that, my mom had surgery on Monday. She is still recovering at home and feels like a bus hit her but we are hoping that her surgery will have fixed her health issues when it comes to her calcium levels and kidney stones.

I’ve been away this weekend to visit my husband’s mom and so I will be catching up on here tomorrow.

I hope you all have been having a fantastic weekend!❤
