Hello Lovely Bookworms!

This week was pretty busy! I’ve at least had time to be able to write this up which usually doesn’t end up happening.

I feel like its been busy with all the prep for Easter and my step father-in-law had his grandson over so we end up spending more time away from other things. It’s okay though because I love when we get more family time in!

This morning we went to breakfast at Cracker Barrel and then I came home and dealt with chickens again. The farm life is wild sometimes (although at least we only have chickens lol). Our two roosters have been fighting this morning and so I have been doing research for keeping the peace between them. I’ll become the chicken whisperer at this point haha!

Tomorrow we will be leaving early to drive an hour and twenty to family for our Easter celebration. I’m excited for the yummy food and seeing some relatives we haven’t seen in awhile.

Hello Lovely Bookworms!

This week has been very busy for me!

Since Thursday I haven’t had much time to sit down and blog or even hop. I had a follow-up dentist appointment and I passed! Woo! I also went Friday to my grandparents-in-law house which is an hour and a half drive to help them clean their house. They just can’t do many things anymore and I’m always happy to help. My daughter loves going and spending time with them so it’s a win lol.

Yesterday was filled with relaxing and doing nothing because I was so tired from Friday. I haven’t picked any books up since Thursday.

Hello Lovely Bookworms!

This week was eventful but probably not in a good way lol.

I had a couple doctor appointments for issues I have been having for awhile. It’s annoying since it just feels like no one ever knows what is really going on with my body. It is what it is! I had to take a 50 minute trip to a bigger city which wasn’t too bad since I got my errands done and had a breakfast date with my daughter. She loved it. We are back to being sick again so we will be taking it easy this coming week. I also have a car appointment tomorrow and I am really hoping it won’t cost a lot for whatever is wrong…

Reading has been on the backburner but that’s okay.

Hello Lovely Bookworms!

This week was pretty average.

The weather has been all over the place! We’ve had sunny days and then cold days. It’s a bit on the colder side at 50 degrees but it’s better than where my parents live in MN, haha. I got some errands done and did a lot of reading. I don’t think there is much else to say!

Hello Lovely Bookworms!

This week was pretty average.

The weather was pretty wild though since we went through winter temps to a high of 77 one day and then back to cold with the next day filled with tornado warnings and severe thunderstorms!

Our little tiny chicks are growing like weeds and soon enough they won’t be so small anymore. At least we will have more coming in the summer. My daughter loves to go out and see them everyday. We have also been going and feeding the big chicks with a bit of scratch grain and they love to eat out of her hand.

My reading has been lacking besides with audiobooks. I just haven’t had the drive to actually sit down and read so it’s been slow going, haha. I’m hoping to at least get to a few more arcs this month.

Hello Lovely Bookworms!

This week was pretty slow but also felt like it went by fast. Yesterday we went to get pizza since it’s what we usually do as a family around Halloween. It’s a holiday we don’t celebrate and so we do something together so my daughter doesn’t feel like she is being left out of something. It’s now going on as a 6 year tradition, haha.

We went to the library and I picked up some books as well. They have been two I have been eyeing so we will see if I like them!

No reading has been had this weekend but with 40 books under my belt for the month (manga included) I don’t feel bad, lol.

Hello Lovely Bookworms!

This week has been pretty busy but we got to see family yesterday so that was nice! We also ate a lot because one side took us out for breakfast and the other for lunch, ha. I won’t complain though because free food!

I haven’t read anything over the weekend but that usually happens and it’s nice to get to spend time with people. Plus, I had to go admire the chickens as it was so nice outside! I even have them carving my pumpkin for me.

Other than that, everything is about the same.

Hello Lovely Bookworms!

This week was filled with school and chickens!

School has been going great for my first grader. I think we are finding our groove for the homeschooling program and she seems to be enjoying it. She still isn’t a fan of language arts but I told her she can’t be a good reader like me without it. 😂

The chicken coop got cleaned out yesterday and their run is now mowed. It’s a lot of work! But, they bring joy and I could sit out there for an hour and just watch them. It’s the simple things isn’t it?

Other than that, reading has been going well. I’m not quite where I wanted to be with my September arcs though. I still have six left but at least they are for the last half of the month.
