June 2021 Monthly Wrap-Up

Hello Lovely Readers!

Here is another monthly wrap-up! I say this every time but each month goes by so quickly.

June was filled with family visits and a lot of birthdays, which included my daughter’s 5th birthday! There hasn’t been anything else going on besides my husband doing summer school and he will be done this week so July is dedicated to family time before school starts once again in August.

My reading for the month was pretty consistent with other months from this year. I’ve been taking breaks every now and again from reading which helps to stay out of slumps. I have 8 arcs left since I did get more but I’m still knocking them out!

I’ve been playing videogames like usual too. Mostly it’s been World of Warcraft but also Mario Kart every now and then. It’s fun to play with my daughter and I’m glad we decided to get a Nintendo switch for her birthday. One day we will get Animal Crossing, haha.

We did watch Luca and Raya and the Last Dragon as a family. I think I liked Raya more but they aren’t in my top ten favorite Disney movies. I’d most likely give them a 3.8/5 stars.

That’s about it! Time to get on with the all of the bookstuff.

This month I managed to read 22 books, 1 manga, and listened to 4 audiobooks.

27 books in total!

source

My favorite book of the month was The Last Words We Said by Leah Scheier. It was so good! It had me crying but it was worth it.

My least favorite was A Spot of Trouble by Teri Wilson. It was just not my cup of tea and had too much petty drama that was meant to be funny.

May 2021 Monthly Wrap-Up

Hello Lovely Readers!

Here is another monthly wrap-up! I say this every time but each month goes by so quickly.

Nothing much has been going on besides being busy with errands here and there. Our new car is finally finished and we have our official license plate! It’s been a hot mess to deal with. Besides that, my mom had surgery and is doing well now. They are still working out her medication but at least she is up and moving and the pain has been better. I wish it was easier to visit my family but a 12 hour drive and a husband working third shift isn’t a great mix for a trip. Hopefully with him finishing school next year it will be a lot easier when he has a better job.

I have seen a lot of my husband’s family recently and it helps to see some family even if it isn’t my siblings and parents. My daughter has loved it! We hung out with my mother-in-laws chickens and my daughter had fun chasing them back to their coop when they would get on the porch, lol. I’ll have to get photos next time I’m there.

I am still playing World of Warcraft and a friend of ours has come back since he has more free time now. We’ve known him for like 5 years now and it’s nice to have him on Facebook so we always see what he is up to even if he isn’t playing.

Reading was really good and I managed to get through quite a lot of arcs and have read more than I have in the last couple of months. No complaints here!

This month I managed to read 24 books and listened to 7 audiobooks.

31 books in total!

April 2021 Monthly Wrap-Up

Hello Lovely Readers!

I feel like April flew by but this whole year has been a blur so far!

I haven’t been as present on my blog or bookstagram and have been taking a lot of days over there. I also haven’t been getting as much reading done as usual but honestly, I’m loving all of the breaks and not feeling pressured to do anything. It’s been nice.

World of Warcraft is still my game of choice these days and instead of the alliance I have made a commitment to the horde. Oops!

My younger brother has been playing with my husband and I. It’s been a lot of fun!

Other than that, I’ve just been doing a lot of adult things like yardwork and housework although I’ve been slacking on the housework part, ha. Tomorrow is the day for all of that though. Today I am finishing up the yard and I’ll be off to buy mulch soon!

My husband finished up his semester on Thursday and now a break until June when summer classes start.

I hope April treated you all well!

This month I managed to read 16 books and listened to 4 audiobooks.

20 books in total!

March 2021 Monthly Wrap-Up

Hello Lovely Readers!

March was an intense month for me!

I did get reading done and a lot of it was arcs but I am still drowning in them, haha. It’s definitely what I will be focusing on again in April.

I did play some World of Warcraft but not as much as usual. I go through phases of wanting to play and then taking weeks off. It is what it is.

We bought a new car though! It’s a 2019 Hyundai Elantra and so different from our 1999 Honda Civic. I will get to take it for a spin as we drive an hour and a half to his family’s this weekend. Pretty excited that it will take less gas than my Honda CR-V as I like to go vroom vroom. 🤣

We got some bad news about my husband’s college graduating date though. He won’t graduate until next May instead of this December because his advisor didn’t tell him two of his business classes count towards his degree but not the hours required. It doesn’t make sense and would have been nice to know before as my husband talks to him every semester. It is what it is. That’s my new motto lately.

Other than that, I got to see my sister and dad as they brought our new car to us. It was a great a visit and hopefully soon I will get to see the rest of my family soon. I miss my mom but I at least call her everyday (sometimes 5 times 🤣) because I may be an adult but I still need her advise.

This month I managed to read 17 books, 16 mangas and listened to 3 audiobooks.

36 books in total!

source

My favorite book of the month was  Southern Sun, Northern Star (Glass Alliance #3) by Joanna Hathaway! It was a grea, tear-filled ending to this trilogy.

February 2021 Monthly Wrap-Up

Hello Lovely Readers!

February was mediocre at best when it came to reading.

This month I’ve been struggling with reading. Not sure why but it could be stress or just enjoying World of Warcraft. Who knows, haha.

I still read a fair share but not as much as usual.

My husband and I also bought a car so that’s exciting! Still getting everything done with it but it hasn’t been too bad.

My favorite book this month was Mistletoe and Mr.Right (Moose Springs, Alaska #2) by Sarah Morgenthaler. It was so cute and I just loved the characters!

My least favorite book was Fractured by Shay Siegel. It was just bad. The guy in it was horrible. Prepare for a ranty review for that one, ha.

July 2020 Wrap-up

Monthlywrapup2

Hello Lovely Readers!

Oh July. You were something, haha.

Less books than last month but it’s fine. I’m just doing me and bascially that means a ton of audiobooks and that’s okay. I’m still reading so that’s all that matters!

This month I managed to read 10 books and 2 mangas and listened to 12 books, .

My favorite is my only 5 star which was Brother’s Keeper by Julie Lee. It’s a heartbreaking read but one that is very important.

My least favorite was Shadows Rising by Madeleine Roux. There were some decent parts but it was really one big letdown.
