Friday Favorites: Books that Make You Thankful to be a Reader

Fridayfavorites2

Hello Fellow Bookworms!

Today’s post is a tag that was created by Something of the Book and she has a whole list of Friday Favorites to follow. They are awesome and it is a fun way to find new books with a twist and see how others have answered it!

Here is another hard prompt…

It’s like being asked what inspires me. I’m not sure what books make me thankful to be a reader.

Well, let’s wing it like usual!

border2

1.) A Court of Thorns and Roses

I am thankful for this book series because it is what got me back into reading as an adult. It’s also thanks to my sister who told me about it!

2.) Chronicles of Narnia

I am thankful for this series because as a kid it got me into Fantasy.

3.) New Genres

This isn’t a book title(s) but because of trying new genres it has always managed to keep me out of reading slumps. Changing up is amazing! So, I am thankful for that.

Friday Favorites: Favorite Character Team Ups

Fridayfavorites2

Hello Fellow Bookworms!

Today’s post is a tag that was created by Something of the Book and she has a whole list of Friday Favorites to follow. They are awesome and it is a fun way to find new books with a twist and see how others have answered it!

I’m not really sure what this prompt really entails but I’m going to go with putting my favorite characters from different books/movies together! Let’s just get into it.

border2

1.) Velma and Sherlock (Scooby-Doo & Sherlock)

I feel like these two would be perfect to team up! Although I have a feeling that Velma would probably get annoyed by him once or twice, ha.

giphy.gif

2.) Tamlin and Gaston (Acotar & Beauty and the Beast)

I feel like these two are one in the same. They would do anything to get their “girl” even if it doesn’t end out well. They should support one another.

giphy.gif

3.) Kady Grant and Ryn (Illuminae & The Bone Houses)

Since both of them deal with a form of weird zombie/cannibal people, I think they would make the perfect team! Yay for girl power!

giphy.gif

4.) Aurora and Mirabella (Roar & Three Dark Crowns)

Since they both deal with a form of elemental magic, I believe they could be good friends. They could also do a lot of damage with their magic!

7ebf691315a840e9f3feaa7242256f66.gif

5.) Rhysand and The Darkling (Acotar & Grishaverse)

Now, I do not like The Darkling but I do think that he could learn a lot from Rhysand. I think they would make a great team! Maybe if The Darkling would have had a mentor like him then he could have been different.

Friday Favorites: Favorite Inspiring Characters

Fridayfavorites2

Hello Fellow Bookworms!

Today’s post is a tag that was created by Something of the Book and she has a whole list of Friday Favorites to follow. They are awesome and it is a fun way to find new books with a twist and see how others have answered it!

This question is always hard for me to answer. I don’t usually find characters to be inspiring. Maybe it’s because I don’t really think about it? Who knows! So, let’s just quit wasting time and try to figure this one out.

giphy.gif

border2

1.) Feyre (A Court of Thorns and Roses)

She goes through a lot. She has to deal with a lot. I think that she is inspiring because she tries to not let it all break her and even when she does have a breakdown, she tries to get back up and fight through it.

2.) Lucy (Chronicles of Narnia)

In The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, Lucy never loses hope when it comes to Aslan. She keeps faith that he will come back and finish the battle. Having faith is so important and she inspires me when it comes to mine.

That’s it! I’m sure there may be one or two more but like I said, I just don’t think much about characters be inspiring.

Is there a character that inspires you?

Friday Favorites: Favorite Magic Wielders

Fridayfavorites2

Hello Fellow Bookworms!

Today’s post is a tag that was created by Something of the Book and she has a whole list of Friday Favorites to follow. They are awesome and it is a fun way to find new books with a twist and see how others have answered it!

I feel like today’s prompt is going to be a good one! The funny thing is even though I know a lot of magic wielding characters, my mind still likes to draw a blank.

tumblr_inline_p872qkH25H1s8dxej_540

But alas, what is there to do besides fight through it! So let’s move right along and hope that my brain cooperates.

border2

1.) Aeduan (Bloodwitch)

More like Baeduan, am I right? To be honest, I love all of the magic wielders in the Truthwitch series. They are all different from one another but there is something about blood magic that draws me in. I loved learning more about him in Bloodwitch and I can’t wait to see what is in store for my poor heart in book 4.

39863277

2.) Aurelia (Bloodleaf)

Surprise, surprise, more blood magic! What can I say? I am obsessed with it. I wish there were more books with it.

35707080

3.) Vasya (The Bear and the Nightingale)

I’ve talked about her twice yesterday in the same book tag so this definitely shouldn’t come as a surprise! If you haven’t read this trilogy yet then you are definitely missing out!

25489134

4.) Azriel (A Court of Mist and Fury)

My little quiet boo thang! He may be quiet but his magic is pretty impressive and just love him and hope that he will find someone to love because he deserves a good and happy ending!

17927395

5.) Sirius Black (Harry Potter)

Would this be a post about magic without mentioning at least one character from the Harry Potter universe? Sirius Black will always be my favorite and I will mourn his death forever.

There is probably some that I have missed but oh well! This list will also probably change once I read more books but we are here and this is what it is.
