I read this book as a read-along on Instagram. I had not read anything by Jane Austen before this and although I like classics, this one was really hard to get into.

One reason I had a hard time was because I didn’t really know what was going on. No matter how hard I tried I just couldn’t. After watching the 1995 movie, with so many HP actors, I finally started to understand the characters and the plot made a lot more sense!

So with the what I know now (thanks to the movie!), Marianne makes poor choices. You would think after being caught in the rain once you wouldn’t do it again. Elinor made smarter decisions and both sisters dealt with rejections in different ways which was interesting to see.

Obviously, we can all agree that John Willoughby and Fanny Dashwood are the worst! They were pretty awful to the Dashwood girls.

Overall, it was an okay read but I definitely preferred the movie since I was able to understand it better at that point.

What is a classic book you enjoy?

Hello, fellow book lovers!

It was hard to compile a list of books for my tbr because there are so many I want to read! Luckily I was able to narrow it down to 11 with room for library holds or eARCS. It may seem like a lot but I have been reading between 15-20 books a month so hopefully I stick to that momentum!
