Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

“After his confession at the school festival, Rei and Midori are finally a couple! Things are going well until one day, Midori is scooped up by Rei’s grandmother and forced to attend the Ichijo matriarch’s birthday party. Overwhelmed by the difference between her world and Rei’s, and facing intense pressure, Midori retreats… only to find that Rei is now more distant than ever.” (Goodreads)

After the cliffhanger from the last volume I knew I needed to pick this one up as soon as possible! Sadly, with moving around and what not it had to wait.

I’m glad I finally had time to get to it because it was good to see Rei and Midori get over a hurdle caused by his family. I don’t think that the drama is completely over because it seems his grandma is not one to give up so easily. In that aspect her and Midori are a lot alike.

My favorite part of this volume wasn’t even Midori and Rei, it was Ieiri. He was very surprising. I wasn’t sure about him at the beginning of this series but he has definitely turned over a new leaf for me. I think he still has some underlying mission but I can’t say that I dislike. He is sweet in his own way.

Overall, this was another enjoyable volume and I can’t wait for the next!
