Weekly Update | 8-14-22

Hello Lovely Bookworms!

This week has been very busy between car problems/getting them fixed and taking my daughter to the doctor for a tick bite. It’s been a wild ride.

Today and tomorrow we will be spending time with family which means it will be a slower couple days and that is fine with me!

I hope you all will be having a lovely weekend as well! ❤

  1. Sorry about the car problems! My fridge stopped cooling to the recommended temp sigh…makes sense why I had a sore tummy in the beginning of the week! Just glad my kids didn’t get sick from the food in the fridge but yeah…it’s been hard trying to find a repair guy apparently! I bought a mini-fridge to help while we try to get a repairman or cave and by a new fridge. 😕 So I feel ya about problems! lol…let’s hope we have a better week!

    1. I hope you can get your fridge fixed! Fridges aren’t cheap! I feel like it’s been hard lately everywhere to find people to fix things.

      1. We looked at fridges and yes they are so not cheap. 😔 Hopefully someone calls me back today lol…oh and to add to it, my son tested positive for covid yesterday, my daughter is negative right now but I guess she still has to stay home too so I guess my kids will be quarantining at home all week! Would be nice to have a working fridge. 😕

      2. That’s terrible! I hope it’s not too bad for them. I swear around this time of year everything is going wrong. 😢

  2. Yuk, Ticks! We don’t have them here in Arizona, but when I lived in Illinois we’d have to keep checking the kids, dogs and ourselves. I hope your daughter is ok.

    1. I’ve usually only had to deal with them when camping while living in Minnesota and never saw one in North Carolina or Indiana. It’s a change to get used to but definitely will be checking a lot better!

  3. Oof, I hope your daughter is doing okay and it’s good to hear that your weekend slowed down some so you could take some time for yourself! And ah, it makes me sad to see that The Make-Up Test didn’t work out for you… That’s a romance I’ve been greatly looking forward to for a while now. I hope you find a book that hits the spot for you soon though 🙂

    1. She is doing better! I was probably more paranoid about it than her. 😂 The weekend was a nice change of pace and we got to see a lot of family. The Make-Up Test had it’s moments but the characters were kind of meh. Thank you!
