Mid-Year Freakout Book Tag (2021)

Hello Fellow Bookworms!

It’s that time of year again. I am probably a couple weeks late with this but that’s okay, haha. It’s always hard for me to get tags done but I did want to find time to do this one. Let’s just get right into it!

Best Book You’ve Read So Far In 2021

I can’t wait to share my review for this one! I finished it in one night and was a tearful mess but I loved it so much! Grief is a topic I have been reading a lot about recently in books and this has been by far my favorite.

Best Sequel You’ve Read So Far In 2021

I was hesitant about starting this one as I liked the first book but also didn’t love it. I’m so glad that the sequel blew me away! I can’t wait to find out what happens next in the third and final book.

New Release You Haven’t Read Yet, But Want To

Biggest Disappointment

This is most likely an unpopular opinion but I didn’t like this book. It has been my lowest rating so far this year. I really did want to like it.

Biggest Surprise

I am not one for Historical Fiction but with this one I loved it! I think it helped that there were multiple point-of-views and the characters were so intriguing. I need to get a copy for my shelves!

Favorite New Author (Debut or New To You)

Axie Oh and Leah Scheier have definitely been favorites so far this year! I can’t wait to read more from them!

Newest Fictional Crush

None for me.

Newest Favorite Character

Ellie from The Last Words We Said and most of the characters from Son of the Storm. The first deals with a lot of grief that I can relate to and it was nice to read about her journey with it. When it comes to Son of the Storm, there are so many things to say about the characters! They all are striving for something but they each decide to do good or evil. It was just exciting to read about them.

The Most Beautiful Book You’ve Bought Or Received This Year

I got both of these titles from Bookish Signs and they are signed with sprayed gold edges! I love them so much and am glad that I added them to my collection. The covers are just lovely too!

What Books Do You Need To Read By The End Of The Year?

I am going to try and finish the series I have started and can finish but haven’t.

  • Summernight by Sarah K.L. Wilson
  • Sanctuary by Caryn Lix
  • Naruto by Masashi Kishimoto

Favorite Book To Movie Adaptation You’ve Seen This Year?

I don’t think there has been any. I don’t watch much tv.

Have you done this tag yet? What has been your favorite book so far this year?

  1. I love this post. I like the way you’ve organized your favorite books of the first half of 2021. I’ve been wanting to read the Road Trip so I’m glad that’s one that made you happy.
