Weekly Update (4/25/21)

Hello Lovely Bookworms!

I have been reading a bit more this week than last week although most of the books I have picked up have been average which disappoints me. At least the first half of the month had great ratings! Gotta look at the positives, haha.

As far as life, it’s been a struggle. I got kicked in the eye by my daughter yesterday. It was an accident but it still hurt nonetheless, ha. My mom has been in the hospital twice now for kidney stones which have been causing blockage. It’s hard to live in a different state at times like this. There are siblings that live there but some are just too preoccupied with themselves that they don’t actually do much. It’s frustrating. She will be having surgery sometime soon to hopefully help her situation.

Other than that, my husband will be finishing up college this coming week and then we will have a month until summer classes. My daughter turns five in two months and I am just not prepared for that either. I’m just going to continue on with my motto, it is what it is.

A positive is that I am 9 days free of binge eating and I have been working out 3-4 times a week for the last two weeks. It feels good to have a routine going and feel like I am accomplishing something for myself.

I hope you all have been doing well! ❤

  1. Hope your mom is doing better soon! And good to hear you’re taking care of yourself. I know it has such a positive affect on me when I’m eating right and exercising. I need to do better myself! I hope you find more pleasure in what you read this week!!

    1. Thank you! Yeah, it’s been nice to find balance in eating without it ruining my train of thought. It has its days but I’m slowly working my way through.

  2. Sorry to hear about your mom, and hope she gets better soon. I need to start exercising, I am always off and on about it – I can’t ever stick to it! Haha, life gets too busy. We renovated our floors this past weekend (but moving stuff to clean rooms took me like a week to do ugh…), so it’s been chaotic and painful haha. It’s finally done, I got my first dose of the covid vaccine and I’m just relaxing now and catching up on reading! Hope you find some good books to read!

    1. Thank you! We are just waiting to hear back from the doctor when it comes to scheduling the surgery. They are very hopeful it will work but it’s definitely scary to think about. Renovating is awesome but tiring, haha. I’m sure it looks great!

    1. Thank you! Yeah it’s not easy when the distance is 12 hours, lol. It really sucks at times! I honestly never understood the saying “They grow up so fast” until I had a child of my own. You don’t realize it when you are the child but as a parent its just crazy!
