Weekly Update (2/21/21)

Hello Lovely Bookworms!

It’s me again!

This week has been a whirldwind!

I am still dealing with adulting stuff and sometimes it can just stress me out. I also haven’t read much and that is because A Court of Silver Flames was a long book and honestly, I just wasn’t feeling it. 🤷‍♀️ I think I am over the SJM craze. I am now reading a classics and well, those are just hard to get through in general, haha.

I have been playing a lot of World of Warcraft. It’s probably because of slower books and my interest for them have been non-existent.

I hope you all have been doing great this weekend!

  1. Adulting can suck, no doubt about that. You know – weird story – the first time I felt like an adult was when, ironically, I bought a box of crayons (as a young adult- can’t remember why). I just remember thinking how refreshing it was to get something without having to ask my parents or worry what they would say. It was such a feeling of being free. Of course, then comes the responsibility stuff and that quickly makes me focus on the weight instead of the freedom ❤️. Hope this week is better!

    1. There is definitely a lot of freedom when it comes to being an adult! I always remember wanting to be one in high school. 🤣 I definitely never saw the struggles of it.

  2. Enjoy your reading!
This weekend I reread Siege and Storm, and honestly I did not remember it being so boring haha! I will still reread the next one though, since I remember that one being better!

    1. Thank you!
I remember reading those and didn’t understand the hype. 😅 my sister loved them! I’m curious how the Netflix show will be.

    1. I hope you enjoy it! I won’t have a review for it since I wouldn’t have much to say. It was a good read but oral has a very slow start. Sometimes the two main characters felt the same even if the author distinguished their chapters. It did have its cute moments.

  3. Ooh, so curious to hear your thoughts about the three books you finished this week! I wasn’t sure whether I wanted to pick up ACOSF and I honestly might be on the same page as you with that one, but also the FOMO is real 😂 Hope you have a great week ahead, Joanna!

    1. I plan to have my review for it up at the end of March since it does contain spoilers. 😅 I may move it up though. It was a 2.5 star read. My sister liked it a bit more and gave it a 3.5. A pho love story I won’t have a review for as I just wouldn’t have much to write about. It was very slow in the beginning and sometimes the two main characters felt the same. It had its cute moments though. The investors secret was good but ended up dnfing the second book, haha.
