“To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before is the story of Lara Jean, who has never openly admitted her crushes, but instead wrote each boy a letter about how she felt, sealed it, and hid it in a box under her bed.

But one day Lara Jean discovers that somehow her secret box of letters has been mailed, causing all her crushes from her past to confront her about the letters: her first kiss, the boy from summer camp, even her sister’s ex-boyfriend, Josh.

As she learns to deal with her past loves face to face, Lara Jean discovers that something good may come out of these letters after all.” (Goodreads)

I know everyone has basically read this by now but here I am finishing it! I wanted to read it last year but the time got away from me. I decided it was time since the second movie has been out for like a month now. By the way, I really enjoyed this book!

I’m just going to come out and say it first, I love Peter K. and enjoyed his scenes in the book. Really though, I like all of the characters. Her sisters, dad, Josh, etc. They are all so good in their own way and add to the plot nicely.

Lara Jean is obviously a great character too. She took the situation with the letters a lot better than I would have, haha. I would have told my mom I wasn’t going to school anymore. It would literally be so embarrassing.

I loved seeing the letter be included so we got to see what she wrote to the guys. It added a nice touch.

The plot was interesting and kept me wanting to read even if I had already seen the movie. I’m glad that there wasn’t a lot of drama either.

Overall, I really liked this one. I love the relationship that was formed between Lara Jean and Peter K.. I hope that it works out for them in book two!

    1. Thank you! I have seen the movie. I thought it was cute but watching it the second time around after reading the book it lost a bit for me since it was definitely different from the book.

  1. Nice Review! I’m glad you enjoyed this book. I personally didn’t connect with the characters besides Kitty. I did force myself to continue with P.S I love you but I couldn’t force myself to finish it. Are you planning on continue the series? I’d love to read your reviews for the rest of the series.

    1. Thank you! I can understand why it would be hard to connect with them. Reading as an adult it definitely was harder too. I have finished the series and will be posting reviews for the other two books sometime this month. I can’t remember which dates but they will be on here!
