Hello, fellow bookworms!
Today’s post is a tag that was created by Something of the Book and she has a whole list of Friday Favorites to follow. They are awesome and it is a fun way to find new books with a twist and see how others have answered it!
I have thought long and hard about this one. Honestly, I don’t really find myself reading books that end up defining me because I read Fantasy. I know there are people that do and have found books that have changed their lives. That is awesome! Sadly, it’s just not the case for me.
I did manage to come up with one. So, here it is:
The Bible
I grew up in a Christian home and so this book has been with me my whole life. To some, it is a work of fiction and to others, like me, it is Non-Fiction and one of the most important books out there. It has helped me through some tough times and continues to be uplifting.
I tend to keep my religious views out of my blogging life because I am just writing reviews but because of this prompt I thought I’d share it.
What is a book that you find has defined you? Let me know in the comments!

I really like this answer. I know I personally haven’t read the Bible in its entirety, but there will be times where certain passages will speak to me, especially when I am in need of some guidance. Thank you so much for opening up to us about this ❤

Thank you! It’s very hard to open up about religion and I was little hesitant to post this one. I don’t think I have ever read it in its entirety but it is one thing I would like to do.

I love this theme and that’s a great answer. I remember having a children’s illustrated bible as a little kid and it was one of my favourite books to read. Definitely helped to shape me into the adult I have become :)))

I remember having one of those growing up too. I bought one for my daughter and she does love to look at the photos as I read to her.

I love your answer Joanna! You know, when I see this type of prompt asking about books that define me and books that have changed my life, I always find that I draw an embarrassing blank because for the most part, I’ve read to escape and… I guess I never really took the time to look deeper into books and their messages. Which left me feeling pretty shallow 😅But what you wrote really resonated with me so it’s nice to know I’m not alone in this feeling! Lol

Thank you! Your comment means a lot. I feel the same when it comes to reading, especially since I tend to a lot of Fantasy. It is an escape. I was hesitant to write this post today and almost decided to skip it.

I almost decided to skip it too but I’m glad that we both didn’t 🙂 It’s always nice to know when your opinions/feelings about something is shared with others out there! 😊

I would say that The Bible is probably the most important book in my life, with how it’s shaped me💜 Wonderful post!
