Friday Favorites: Favorite Sequels

friday favorites

Hello, fellow bookworms!

Today’s post is a tag that was created by Something of the Book and she has a whole list of Friday Favorites to follow. They are awesome and it is a fun way to find new books with a twist and see how others have answered it!

The prompt for today is Favorite Sequels. There are still many sequels I am looking forward to but I think I will make it to five for this list. I have already thought of the first three while writing this out so here we go!

1.) The Caged Queen

I did enjoy The Last Namsara and although this is a companion novel, I am still going to count it! This book made me angry, sad, shocked, and was just full of intense plot twists that made me want to throw the book. It’s worth reading!

2.) Gemina

As you know, I love The Illuminae Files. It is the best sci-fi ever and I love those characters with all my heart. I did enjoy the sequel more than the first because I just preferred the characters in Gemina more, I mean Nik so yeah.

3.) Legendary

I liked Caraval but I loved Legendary. I was introduced to my favorite book boyfriend of all, Jacks. He was such a fun character to read about and I enjoyed seeing the games from Tella’s perspective. Such a fantastic book!

4.) Hunting Prince Dracula

I literally love every book in the Stalking Jack the Ripper series but this one is near and dear to my heart because of it being in Romania and talking about vampires. I have an obsession with all things vampires and this one just spoke to me.

5.) One Dark Throne

I will say, I wasn’t a fan of Three Dark Crowns. The book was slow and had no action. I didn’t care for most of the characters but I decided to keep reading through the series anyways. I loved the second book! The action picked up and the characters became more developed. The series definitely gets better each book.

There you have it! I made it to five. It was difficult to fill in the last spot but I managed.
